&lt;p&gt;“Assume that this function has sufficiently nice properties.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Or, even more outrageously:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“Assume that this function looks rather pretty.”&lt;/p&gt;
